Discover Norway and its fjords on this brand-new Ponant itinerary. In Bergen, embark on the new luxury ship Le Lapérouse for an 8-day cruise to Denmark along the Norwegian coast, via Sweden.

Founded by the Vikings over 900 years ago, Bergen is famous for its seven mountains that surround the city centre. Bryggen, its Hanseatic wharf, still carries a few traces of the city’s rich historic past.

Olden, a small village with two wooden churches and undeniable charm, will be your first port of call. It is located a few kilometres from Jostedalsbreen National Park, which is home to one of the last ice caps in Europe. There, you will be able to admire the Briksdal and Kjenndalen glaciers.

Haugesund is famous for its Viking heritage. There, you will be able to discover the Avaldsnes farm, a recreated Viking farm. After this visit, you will know all there is to know about the Viking way of life.

Le Lapérouse will call at Flam, one of Norway’s most spectacular natural sites. This small village is located along a branch of the Sognefjord, the world’s second longest fjord and also the deepest, with a maximum depth of 1,308 metres. You will be simply astounded as you sail amid the steep mountains and cascades.

Admire the façades of Strandgaten, the former main street of the town, and wander the old district of Hauen, which is now full of cafés, galleries and boutiques. Also make a detour to the Heidningeholmen Church, whose foundations date back to the 17th century, and dive into Egersund’s past.
