Cruises visiting Île Verte

L’île Verte is a peaceful and unspoiled corner of nature in the Calanques national park, within the municipality of La Ciotat, 400m from the shore. These 12 hectares of emerald paradise form the only wooded island in the Bouches-du-Rhône department, which owes its name to its vegetation of Aleppo pines. The secret little bays nestle at the heart of “poudinque” rocks, a combination of hardened sand and pebbles, which form this Mediterranean Eden. All around the island, gaps in the vegetation offer sublime panoramas for appreciating the magnificent views over the Bec de l’Aigle, La Ciotat bay and the azure sea.
