Ethics and compliance
Ethics represents a major strategic issue for our group. Our reputation and image largely depend on our ability to act in accordance with the values that we intend to uphold and promote within our organisation as well as towards our stakeholders.
These fundamental values reflect our identity and constitute the foundation of our economic, social and environmental performance. They are formalised within our Ethical Charter, which provides our employees, wherever they are in the world, on land as well as at sea, with a common frame of reference.
The Ethical Charter acts as a marker, a reference point and an anchor for ethics in everyday life. It sets out the values, rules of conduct and actions of our group.

The sustainable and serene development of our group is based on our values and strategy, our skills and specific strengths. It is carried out in strict compliance with applicable regulations and ethics, not only to meet legal obligations but also and above all to assume its corporate social responsibility. In this respect, our group is committed to a process of transparency and exemplarity based on compliance with the most demanding regulations and business ethics standards.
Whether it concerns relationships with customers, suppliers and service providers, or all stakeholders and business relationships, this requirement for loyalty in practices guides the daily actions of our employees and is one of the key drivers of our social and environmental responsibility policy.
In this context, our group has implemented a proactive strategy for risk prevention and management through the development of an Ethics and Compliance program, focusing on five areas of business law, compliance with which is at the core of our Management's commitments: the protection of personal data (GDPR), prevention and fight against corruption and fraud (SAPIN 2 Law), compliance with international economic sanctions and embargoes, combating money laundering and terrorist financing, strict adherence to fair competition.
The program, constantly evolving and improving, particularly in line with regulatory developments, enables us to achieve best practices and is seen as a permanent obligation for all our employees.

Charter and practical guide
In support of the Ethical Charter and the Ethics and Compliance program, an Ethics Alert system is set up through the platform www.ponant.signalement.net. It allows internal, external and occasional collaborators to report any dysfunction or serious breach of ethics, or any behavior contrary to our Ethical Charter. This system contributes to the strengthening and continuous improvement of the Ethics and Compliance program.
