You will set off to discover Okayama, a former 16th century feudal domain, now a small Japanese city with a unique cultural heritage. During your stop here, do not miss the visit to its famous Korakuen Gardens, one of Japan’s three must-see landscape gardens. Created during the prestigious Edo period, it greets visitors with vast lawns edged by tranquil lakes, gracious copses, and former tea houses. Further on, succumb to the charms of Kurashiki and its historic district, lined with wonderfully well preserved white houses with black ceramic roof tiles which stand along the river that was once used for conveying rice, sugar and textiles in the days when the city was a thriving port.
