Alexandra Luiceanu

A true star of the French harp scene, Alexandra Luiceanu has swiftly made a name for herself as one of the most promising talents of her generation, as much for her strong musical personality as for the depth of her artistry. Reputed for her virtuoso, expressive and colourful playing, in 2019 she released her first solo album entitled “MATRIOCHKA” (Evidence Classics). Her popularity with the public as well as with critics meant that hers was the only harp album nominated at the International Classical Music Awards 2020 (ICMA2020), while she was awarded the 2019 Clef d'Or (in the chamber music and recital category) by ResMusica.

Often showcased on the radio and in the media, she performs around Europe and is regularly invited as a soloist by various ensembles and orchestras.

In 2018, she released the album Harp Trio on the Evidence Classics label, the fruit of her collaboration with the harpist Marielle Nordmann, teacher and guide for many years.

A multi-facetted artist, Alexandra draws on her curiosity and her love of literature and writing in her creative process. In 2013, she successfully created her first live show, Harpa Diva, that was warmly received by critics. This desire to create links between the arts, as well as her determination to make music accessible to all can be seen throughout her career and in her artistic choices.
