Axelle Bousquié

Passionate about all kinds of discoveries, Axelle has 20 years of experience in tourism. Living abroad, solo getaways, road trips to the ends of the earth… every journey was meant to be an exploration of new horizons. It is in Marseille, where she was born, that she shares her thirst for knowledge with travelers from around the world. Licensed tour guide since 2007, she is passionate about Mediterranean culture, whose origins date back to the city’s founding by the Phocaeans, who were themselves great travelers. Whether she’s traveling around the globe or delving into her city’s past, driven by boundless curiosity, Axelle is brimming with anecdotes that help bring the remnants of our past to life. Viewing cultural heritage as a noble cause, she places great importance on the clarity of her narration, which she sometimes tends to infuse with poetry—another of her passions, because bringing history to life is, above all, about knowing how to tell a story.
