Béatrice Vaida
This destination expert will only deliver lectures in French.
After a master’s degree in modern literature at Paris X, Béatrice travelled the world, with a particular fondness for the Maghreb, the Near East, and the Middle East. Based in Budapest since 1999, she first worked as a cruise director on the Mekong before becoming a specialist in Danube River cruises, a river she has explored for many years. In spring 2025, she published a book illustrated with photographs by reporter Thomas Goisque, “Along the Danube: A Revisited Europe.” She enjoys sharing her passion and her interest in the major events that have shaped Central Europe and the Balkans, from Budapest to the shores of the Adriatic. She has a particular interest in telling the history of the peoples of the Balkans, the conflicts of the former Yugoslavia, and the cultural richness of the Gulf of Venice.
