Passionate about history and archaeology, Caroline Barbaroux pursued university studies in Art History and Archaeology, specializing in Mediterranean archaeology.

During her academic years, she took part in several archaeological excavation projects, both on land and underwater. At the same time, she worked as a tour guide and cultural mediator for various institutions: the Museum of Mediterranean Archaeology in Marseille for nearly ten years, cultural associations accredited by the French Ministry of Education and working in schools, as well as cultural travel agencies in France and abroad, particularly in Italy.

With fifteen years of experience in the field of art appraisal, she held the positions of senior clerk to an auctioneer and communications manager for an international auction company.

Today, alongside her work in communications, she has resumed her activity as a lecturer. Her background enables her to address a wide range of themes spanning different historical periods with both rigor and clarity, always supported by carefully selected visual materials and thorough documentation.

She is also Director of Communications for the association “Les Amis de Saint-Victor,” dedicated to promoting the heritage of the Abbey of Saint-Victor in Marseille.
