Daphné is originally from Burgundy but has been living in Brittany for several years, after spending time in the Alps. Passionate about nature and the polar regions, she studied Earth Sciences and completed a PhD in climatology and glaciology focusing on the analysis of ice cores drilled from the polar ice caps.

In 2012, she fulfilled a first dream by spending a year overwintering at the Dumont d’Urville Antarctic research station as a glaciochemistry scientist. In 2016, she organized an educational project in Greenland, during which she spent three months immersed in local communities, exploring the territory and working in schools.

Since then, she has continued to explore high latitudes, islands, and remote wilderness areas as an expedition guide and lecturer, educational project coordinator, journalist, and scientific campaign coordinator-particularly aboard the Commandant Charcot.

She is especially interested in Inuit culture, geological treasures, island environments, supply ships, and seabirds. Passionate about art and literature, she shares her experiences through writing and photography.
