After a season marked by his appearances unanimously greeted in the title role of the Barbiere di Siviglia on the Opera of Paris and on the Festival Rossini de Pesaro, Florian Sempey finds in 2015-2016 the same role, in the Opera of Rome. He also finds Marc Minkowski and the role of the Count, for a resumption in the Royal Opera of Versailles of the production of the Nozze di Figaro, created this summer in Drottningholms Slottsteater, in Sweden. He makes his German debuts in Deutsche Oper Berlin, by embodying Alfonse XI in La Favorite, alongside Elina Garanca, having been Momus, in Platée, at the Opéra de Paris and before embodying Enrico in Lucia di Lammermoor, at the Opéra Grand Avignon. In concert we hear him accompanied with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France for La Jacquerie, of Lalo, the Orchestre national de France for the Messa di Gloria, of Puccini, the Orchestre national de Bordeaux Aquitaine, for the Christmas concert of Radio classique and the Orchestre de chambre de Paris, for Gounod's Saint-François d'Assise.
At the same time as his piano studies, Florian Sempey begins his training of lyric singing in the class of Françoise Detchnenique at the Academy of Libourne. Having been finalist of the singing competition of " Les Amis du Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux » ", he joins into 2007 the Conservatoire de Bordeaux in the class of Maryse Castets.
He gains the next year the first prize « Opera » as well as the « Prix du public » of the singing competition « Les Amis du Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux ». Afterward he will be finalist also of the competition S'sentiels of Nantes in 2009, semi-finalist of the international Competition of the Opera of Marseille under Rolando Villazón's presidency and named in 2013 in the category " Revelation Opera singer " in « Les Victoires de la Musique classique. »
He joins for 2 years the Atelier lyrique de l'Opéra de Paris in 2010 and the following seasons see him appearing in Rigoletto, Alceste, Madama Butterfly, Street Scenes, L'heure espagnole, the Finta Giardiniera and la Traviata.
He makes at the age of 24 years his debuts on the stage of the National Opera of Bordeaux, in the role of Papageno and will return there then regularly, embodying the roles of Moralès in Carmen, Yamadori in Madama Butterfly, Pollux in Castor et Pollux, Figaro of the Nozze di Figaro.
The DNO of Amsterdam recently welcomed him for his rôle debut in Valentin, in Faust. He besides participated in the productions of Le Mage in the Opera de Saint-Etienne, Dardanus with the ensemble Pygmalion, on the stages of the National Opera of Bordeaux and the Royal Opera of Versailles for the role of Anténor, and in Fledermaus , at l'Opéra-Comique de Paris, interpreting Doctor Falke.
In concert he recently appeared in the Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, of Mahler, beside l'Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse and Carmina Burana, with the Choir of the Orchestre de Paris.
He also occurred in Cracow in role of Julien de Medici in Pierre de Medici, in the Festival of tLes Nuits lyriques de Sanxay for Carmen, Traviata and Madama Butterfly, as well as within the framework of a partnership between Paris Opéra Compétition and Young Artist Program of Bolshoï, on the stage of prestigious Moscow theater and to the Imperial Theater of Compiègne.
Florian Sempey won the « Prix Carpeaux » of the Opéra Garnier in 2012.
