Frank Braley was awarded unanimously the First Prizes for Piano and Chamber Music at the Paris Conservatoire. In 1991 he went on to win First Prize at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth of Belgium Competition, with both the public and music critics recognising him as a pianist with exceptional musical and poetic qualities.

Since then, Frank Braley has regularly been invited to Japan, America and all over Europe, performing with major orchestras like the London Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris, Orchestre National de France, Philharmonique de Radio France and Paris Orchestral Ensemble. He has been conducted by Jean-Claude Casadesus, Stéphane Deneve, Charles Dutoit, Armin Jordan, Hans Graf, Gunther Herbig and Christopher Hogwood.

He has toured all over the world including to China with the Orchestre National de France; Japan and China with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse; and Italy with the Orchestre Français des Jeunes.

After a Schubert-Debussy-Britten-Carter album with Gautier Capuçon for Erato, Frank Braley recorded the complete Sonatas for Cello and Piano by Beethoven with Gautier, still for Erato, followed by recital tours all over the world including the Paris Pleyel, Bordeaux, London, Vienna, Osaka and Seoul. Latest release in 2023, a Chausson/Lekeu album with Gabriel Le Magadure and Agate Quartet.

Frank Braley was Musical Director of the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie from 2014 to 2021. He has been teaching at the Paris Conservatoire since September 2011.
