Destination expert
Marie-Christine de Warenghien
With a background in art history, I am dedicated to sharing and transmitting the world’s great cultural and historical treasures.
For many years, I have travelled extensively around the world, driven by a deep passion for history and great civilizations. I lived for several years in the Middle East, where I developed an in-depth knowledge of this fascinating region. Today, I regularly accompany cultural journeys, with itineraries that mainly take me to the Arabian Peninsula, North Africa, and throughout Europe, where I offer historical, cultural, and geopolitical perspectives on the regions we explore.
My approach combines historical rigor, the perspective of an art historian, and a taste for storytelling, offering passengers insightful and enriching ways to understand the places we visit. Through anecdotes and narratives, the lectures become true invitations to an intellectual journey, allowing passengers to deepen their perspective and enrich their experience of the destinations explored. Driven by an infectious enthusiasm and a deep pleasure in sharing knowledge, I strive to accompany each journey as a cultural exploration, where the discovery of places is paired with an encounter with their history and heritage.
On board, my greatest hope is to share my passion and curiosity. The lectures are moments of discovery, but also of exchange and conversation with passengers, extending the journey and offering new perspectives on the ports of call we explore.
