Pedro de Castro is one of the most virtuoso guitarists of his time. A leading instrumentalist and composer on both the national and international music scene, he has accompanied the major contemporary fado singers (Katia Guerreiro, Ricardo Ribeiro, Camané, Carminho, Rão Kyao, João Braga, Vicente da Câmara, and Celeste Rodrigues) and performed with renowned artists such as Plácido Domingo, Martinho da Vila, Ivan Lis, and Fáfá de Belém.

Inspired, versatile, unique, and with strong traditional roots, Pedro de Castro is as relaxed as he is dedicated to each note he plays. Expressive and with a distinctive interpretative style, he leaves a lasting impression on his listeners, not only through his musical mastery but also through the authenticity of his music. The teachings of his mentor, José Luís Nobre Costa, his greatest influence, along with Raúl Nery and Jaime Santos, form the foundation of his music.
