Chef
Pere Venturós
Present on board during the second part of the cruise.
Pere Venturós is a chef born on May 26, 1988, in Berga, near Barcelona, in the Berguedà region. Immersed in the culinary world from an early age, he was introduced to cooking through his parents’ business, which specialized in the sale of salted fish, as well as cooked cereals and vegetables. This passion led him to study culinary arts at the Joviat culinary school in Manresa.
After completing his studies and an internship at Sant Marc, a traditional Catalan cuisine restaurant, he joined ABaC under the direction of Xavier Pellicer, which was awarded two Michelin stars. Two years later, he joined Plaza Athénée by Alain Ducasse in Paris, first as a kitchen commis before progressing to the position of sous-chef. Three years later, he joined the team at Le Meurice, also owned by the renowned chef Alain Ducasse.
After eight years of experience in France, he decided to open his own restaurant in Berga, his hometown, where he offers refined Catalan and local cuisine with a French touch. TERRA is the project he has been leading with his team for the past eight years, and it has been recommended every year in the Michelin Guide since 2018.
