Philippe GOMBERT is a builder who has divided his life between the rigorous world of law and his passion for restoring historic buildings.

Every week, he would leave his practice as a lawyer at the Paris Bar to travel to the Lot region, where he gradually transformed a 14th and 17th century château overlooking the Dordogne valley into an exceptional place where, with his wife, he cultivates the French art of living.

This career path naturally led him to be recognised and acclaimed by his peers, who elected him to the international presidency of the prestigious Relais & Châteaux association, which he headed from 2013 to 2022.

A passionate bibliophile, he is a great collector of books on history, law, garden design and gastronomy.
