Country Club Casual, or elegant resort wear, is appropriate dress for all evenings aboard The Paul Gauguin. Country Club Casual consists of a dress, or skirt or slacks with a blouse or sweater for ladies, and slacks and collared shirts for gentleman. No ties are required at any time, although gentlemen may opt to wear a jacket to the Captain’s Welcome Reception. Please note that casual wear such as shorts, t-shirts, casual jeans (frayed and/or with holes), baseball caps, flip-flops, and Crocs are not considered appropriate after 6:00 pm in all restaurants and lounges. Bathrobes and bathing suits are not appropriate in the ship’s restaurants and lounges, and shirts and shoes are required in all public areas at all times.

*Shoes suitable for wearing in the water—whether they are reef shoes, sneakers, or old sandals—are imperative for water-based activities. There are corals, urchins, and other marine life that can cause painful cuts and injuries that can be prevented by bringing footwear from home. There is limited opportunity for purchase in the South Pacific. Note that flip-flops are not suitable for this function.

Diving & initiation dive
Supervision of the dives
Your dives will be led by your PONANT instructor. He will take care of your safety and that all goes smoothly. On some diving sites, as in natural reserves or if the local regulations require it, a local guide will escort the diving.
Level required for scuba diving on this cruise
The minimum level required for scuba diving on this cruise is 1 star CMAS or the PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent). The certification card, the diving log book and a recent medical certificate (less than 12 months) must be presented at the beginning of the cruise to our main diving instructor.
Process of the dives (certified divers)
The instructor reserves the right to check divers’ ability for maximum safety. As we will dive in remote places, the dives will be done without decompression stop. A safety stop of 3 minutes at 5 metres will be mandatory. The depth that can be reached will depend on the certification of the divers:
- For those with PADI Open Water Diver certificate (or equivalent), the maximum depth can be up to 20 metres.
- If two Stars CMAS or PADI Advanced Open Water Divers (or equivalent) wish to dive together independently, they must have a briefing first. They must have dive computers and are allowed to go to a maximum depth of 20 metres.
Process of the initiation dives (novice divers)
Before your initiation dive, your instructor will show you the equipment and will explain to you how to communicate underwater using hand gestures and how to breathe through a regulator. Once in the water, equipped with your material, you will learn how to breathe through your regulator on the surface for a couple of minutes. When your instructor feels you are ready, he will immerse you in water for about 20 minutes to a depth of 6 metres maximum.
Duration of the dives
The diving activity lasts from 2 to 3 hours, which includes the journey to the diving site and the diving. This duration may vary according to the site, the level of divers, weather conditions and the number of participants. For experienced divers, the duration of dives varies between 35 and 60 minutes depending on the site, the diver’s experience and consumption.

Mask and snorkel: for health reasons due to Covid-19, we strongly recommend that you come on board with your own mask and snorkel .As an exception, you will be able to borrow them in accordance with sanitary conditions.
The passenger may participate in scuba diving activities, subject to compliance with certain conditions established in accordance with the health, scientific and medical measures applicable on the day of the dive.

Fauna and flora of the Pacific Ocean
The fauna of the Pacific Sea is very varied. During the various dives, divers can observe various species of benthic fauna such as napoleon fish, raccoon butterfly fish, and pelagic fauna such as manta rays, gray reef sharks, dolphin fish as well as endemic wildlife such as different soft corals.

Honiara is the capital city of The Solomon Islands, administered as a provincial town on the north-western coast of Guadalcanal Island. Honiara comes from the local Ghari Language “naho-ni-ara” meaning 'facing the ara', the place where the southeast winds meet the land. Particularly The Battle of Henderson Field, the last of the three major land offensives conducted by the Japanese in 1942.

Alotau became the provincial capital of Milne Bay in 1969 and today has a population of approximately 16,000. It serves as our port of entry into Papua New Guinea. Missionaries, miners, pearlers, Japanese and American warships have all contributed to the History of Milne Bay. Perhaps the most significant history surrounds the Battle of Milne Bay. It was here that the invading Japanese army suffered their first land defeat in the Pacific War in 1942. A memorial park at the battle site commemorates the event. The local people are warm and welcoming resulting in one of the most relaxed, secure and easy-going towns in Papua New Guinea. The Samarai islands are located in the China Strait off the south-eastern tip of New Guinea. In its colonial heyday it was said to be one of the most beautiful places in the Pacific. The island was declared a National Historical Heritage Island by the government of Papua New Guinea in 2006. Just 3km west of Samarai, Kwato Island was once an educational center and home to a thriving boat building industry. Following the old tree-lined road to the top of the island reveals a stonewalled church that was built in 1937 and remains a testimony to the missionaries of a bygone era. Runsuc Village and Firewalking
Enjoy a cultural demonstration that includes ancient arts, tribal dances, traditional food preparation and time-honoured customs.
Take a short bus ride to quaint Runsuc Village for a traditional Melanesian welcome from the young men of the village. The warriors will perform traditional dance to the sound of tribal drums and share fascinating stories of their culture and history. See the ancient art of sand drawing and the preparation of Pentecost custom mats. Watch a Vanuatu-style ‘Master Chef’ cook off, not a TV production, but you’ll enjoy the same excitement and learn some cooking tricks as the village ladies demonstrate the secrets of making the traditional dish of lap lap in an underground oven.
Next, you will be invited to take part in the time-honoured ceremony of kava tasting. Finally, witness a traditional fire walking ceremony, the ritual is a rite of passage for the young men of the village entering manhood.

Blue Lagoon Swim
Vanuatu's famous and breath-takingly beautiful Blue Lagoon (or Blue Hole) beckons with water so blue it must be seen to be believed...
Your tour begins with a 30-minute scenic bus ride through Santo’s countryside, past coconut plantations and quaint villages. Surrounded by tropical rainforest, you’ll arrive at the breath-taking, freshwater Blue Hole for a swim in brilliant blue coloured water. The natural spring is nearly 60-feet deep and gets its brilliant blue colour from the white limestone rocks refracting the sunlight through the clear water.
You’ll have plenty of time here to swim, explore the surrounding rainforest and relax in this natural oasis. Steps leading down into the lagoon provide easy access to the beautiful water.
- Please be aware that the vehicle is not air-conditioned. To ensure your adventure is as enjoyable as possible, remember to wear a swimsuit under your clothes, bring a towel, a hat, reef shoes, plenty of sunscreen and water. Canoe the Riri River
Your tour begins with a 30-minute drive through Luganville to the mouth of the Riri River.
Here friendly guides will help as you board a fiberglass canoe and head off on your journey down the river. Your guide will do the paddling, so you can relax and really take in the scenery. You will truly feel a million miles away from civilization as you glide silently across the water and all you can hear are the sounds of the rainforest and the hushed whispers of those around you. Keep an eye out for tropical flowers and schools of brightly coloured fish that swim alongside the canoe. Relics of WW II
During WWII, Espiritu Santo was used as a naval harbour, military supply and support base for 100,000 allied troops. At the end of the war U.S. forces abandoned the island leaving behind a large amount of equipment that remains on the island today as fascinating relics.
Visit BP Wharf, built to support the navy's large vessels, and now home to yachts and other marine craft. Photo stops along the way include a lookout point with views over Segond Chanel, Tutuba and Aore Islands. Your guide will point out the position of the submarine nets and the sea mines that sunk the SS President Coolidge. You will also visit Euart's Memorial, named for Capt. Elwood Euart who sacrificed his life saving men on the SS President Coolidge after it struck two mines in the harbor and sank. Next stop is Million Dollar Point where thousands of tons of military equipment was abandoned in the ocean by the US military.

Amazing Grace Cocoa Farm and Gardens Tour
Situated on the black sands of Tenaru Beach, just outside of Honiara, the tour will give you the chance to witness the cocoa farming process up close.
The Tour begins with a tour of Amazing Grace’s Cocoa farm. There are a variety of Cocoa planted in the Solomons for the export market. The tour continues to see the fermenting and drying process. This process is specifically for exporting to the Boutique chocolate makers. The garden also has a good selection of local fruits and root crops that are eaten by the locals. The final tour stop is the preparation of the locally made chocolate manually pounded and cooked to perfection.
For chocolate makers, this black sandy soil may contribute to the intensely earthy profile of Grace’s beans, a distinct flavour in all her products. Guests can have a taste of the cocoa tea and chocolate.

Historical Alotau
Alotau is set within the bay of Milne bay (the bay in which the province derived its name) that stretches far and wide towards the west The bay itself is picturesque with villages and other new developments on either sides of the bay.
Our day starts by heading west to Turnbull War Memorial driving past beachside properties and local villages, a nice scenic drive along sealed road. Here you find remains of WW2 and commentary on WW2 will be given on the Battle of Milne bay. Leaving Turnbull drive further west to Ladava village to see the old slipway built by the Australians that was used during WW2.
Then head back along the same road to KB Mission for more WW2 history. A short drive back to town takes us to the Alotau War Memorial. Here you have the opportunity to shop. A good selection of arts and crafts from the Milne bay province will be on display.
Leaving Alotau War Memorial drive uphill to Top Town Lookout. From here you have an excellent view of the Milne bay, and the township beneath. Driving downhill passing old Anglican church and hospital takes us back to the pier.

Daduwe & Bou traditional villages
Milne bay Province located on the eastern tip of PNG consists of the mainland and approximately 600 islands is a tropical paradise with coconut palm lined beaches and villages scattered alongside offers an intriguing experience. Being the coastal province it does not only offer water activities but also offers touring the cultural villages and study the daily life’s of the villagers, who depend on subsistence farming, fishing and hunting.
Our day starts by heading east driving along the coastline passing many traditional villages with spectacular scenery to the very first cricket ground in PNG where the first cricket in the country was played. Heading further east we arrive at Daduwe for village study. Take a 10 minute hike off the road along the natural forest takes you to this beautifully set cultural village. Here witness the traditional cooking method, sago making (staple food), weaving mats, baskets and and other activities. Coconut drinks and other refreshments will be provided for those who wish to taste the local delicacy. This village was the site where a big feast was held by chiefs from all around Milne bay while on their Kula trade in the early days. Evidence of this are the remains of pieces of the clay pots used during that time. A few minutes walk takes us to a magic rock where new gem stones are popping out on the sides of this rock. Leaving Daduwe, we continue onto Bou village to witness the different cultural performance that resembles the different island and mainland cultures. This surely is colorful and exciting to witness. Here we witness children paddling in their canoes as they learn to become skilled for sea ferrying as they reach the age to sail the seas on trade missions or visiting neighbors, relatives at places where it requires sea travel.
On completion of the village visits we head back to town for our last stop at the Alotau War Memorial where we learn a little of the war in Milne bay and for souvenir shopping before heading back for the ship.

Culture, Liquiça and Maubara
Depart the port heading through historical buildings, monuments & religious places including the Statue of Integration, Dili’s Shopping Center, Presidential Palace, Timor Plaza, and the Statue of Past President NICOLAU LOBATO and west to Taci Tolu Peace Park (Taci Tolu literally means “three sea’s” in local language) the area is of national cultural significance being an important symbol of the struggle for Independence, and was declared a national park in 2000. Next, stop at the ruins of the Aipelo Military Command Post, which dates back to 18th Century and served as a prison run by the Portuguese until 1959.
Arriving in Liquiça which is the closest district to the west of Dili and indulge yourself before taking a 30 minutes easy walking tour of the historical town with its Portuguese influenced architecture visiting sites that have been identified as significant cultural and historical sites.
Next, travel to Dutch Fort of Maubara, this is a small Dutch colonial fortress located in Maubara. The rectangular fort, on whose wall two cannons still stand, is the most striking building in the town. It is located directly at the entrance to Maubara, on the well-developed thoroughfare, from where visitors could see the entire bay from the beach. The fort is owned by the state but is managed by the Maubara Association Mós Bele. Finish the tour and drive by passing Salt Production Community in Ulmera and photo stop opportunity, then continue drive back to port.

Coffee Plantation Tour
Depart to Railaco (Ermera) is one of the Municipalities of Timor Leste, located in the west-central part of the country through Tacitolu Chapel. Its capital is Gleno, which is located 30 km to the southwest of the national capital, Dili. The old city of Ermera, also known as Vila Ermera, lies 58 km from the capital along the same road. The winding road up from Dili to centrally located Ermera municipality is perfect for road touring and mountain biking – it offers expansive views out to Atauro Island. In general, Ermera Municipality is a very rugged country and sparsely populated.
It is the Coffee producing heart of Timor-Leste. With steep hills covered in coffee forest, looking towards towering Mt Ramelau in the south often all that can be seen of most towns is their colorful church spires poking out through the trees. Coffee is a shade loving plant which flourishes beneath the large canopied albezia trees. During the harvest season local people can be seen picking the ripe red coffee cherries that are then spread along the sides of the road and anywhere else flat they can find for drying in the hot sunshine.

Then continue to Santa Cruz Cemetery and Resistance Museum, the Timor-Leste Museum of the Resistance opened its doors to the community ten years after the national became officially independent in 2002. Komodo Trekking Tour
Enjoy a short trek on Komodo Island. Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that make up the Republic of Indonesia. The highlight of this trip is seeing the Komodo Dragons. These relatives of the dinosaurs are the biggest reptiles on earth, reaching lengths of over 10 feet (3 meters) and weights of over 275 lbs. (125kg).
The earliest stories of a dragon existing in the region circulated widely and attracted considerable attention. No one visited the island to check the story until official interest was sparked in the early 1910's by stories from Dutch sailors based in Flores about a mysterious creature allegedly described as a "dragon" that spat fire. In 1915, the Dutch government placed the dragon on the list of protected species. More recently, Komodo was named to the controversial list of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in November 2011.
From the pier you will walk to the Tamarind Woods ranger's station. There you will have a short briefing. Then, keep an eye open for these dappled giants as you approach Banuggulung, a former Komodo feeding ground, in the company of an expert guide who will provide further insight into the life of these unique and fascinating creatures.

Magical Temples
Depart the pier for the drive to Tanah Lot, Bali's most photographed temple.
The black lava towers of this sacred, 16th-century temple stand on a rocky outcrop 656 feet (200 metres) offshore. Although crossing to the temple is only possible during low tide, you can photograph it from the opposite shore.
Following your visit, your journey continues with a drive toward the Southwest Coast, arriving at Puri Taman Sari, where you will be greeted by Bleganjur, a group of Balinese that will offer you a guided tour of the area where you will see different traditional Balinese activities before proceeding to your lunch area.
Leaving Puri Taman Sari, a 30 minutes drive brings you to the Royal Temple of Mengwi, Taman Ayun Temple, once the center of the kingdom. This amazing, 16th -century temple complex served as the family temple of the Mengwi Dynasty, whose kingdom survived until the late -1800s. Mengwi's main attraction, the temple is adorned with a wide moat, exquisite wooden shrines and beautifully carved gates.

Bali Archaeological Relics
Traveling from Benoa harbor, enjoy a leisurely morning drive of two hours brings you directly to the village of Bedulu to visit Goa Gajah Monastery (Elephant Cave), is an ancient Hindu monastery built in the 11th century during the reign of one of famous Balinese King Udayana who ruled with his Javanese queen. This ancient monastery was used by both Buddhist and Hindu Monks as a place of retreat and meditation as well as the king as his descendants.
After touring Hindu monastery ground, then re-joining your motor coach and proceed to your delightful journey continues on to the next interesting place located nearby to visit Pejeng Museum of archaeology, locally called Museum Gedong Arca or the Museum of Archaeology, is home to a fantastic collection of sarchopagus, ancient Balinese relics and other artifacts from Indian and Chinese Kingdoms. Coffee and traditions
Starting off from the Pier of Benoa, a leisurely morning drive of one hour and 45-minutes brings you to the village of Kengetan/ Lod Tunduh to visit a Family Estate Coffee Plantations. Upon arrival, a guided walk through a shaded pathway to explore coffee plantations and other tropical spices as well as to observe up-close the Bali coffee making process. This offers a wonderful experience trip on your holiday in Bali where you can taste our local coffee, tea and Luwak coffee. The farmers are stepping into a new idea to create their coffee plantation where you may visit it with some variety of coffee for tasting. Despitefully, you'll have a good opportunity to try our local snacks and Balinese snake-skin fruits.

Explore the unique arts and crafts produced by the entire villages of Balinese craftsmen during this excursion to Tohpati, Celuk, and combined with a visit to Sudi Dance School.
Traveling from Benoa Pier for scenic, 45-minute drive with your Tour Guide by motor coach to Tohpati village. Upon arrival, a visit is made to a Batik factory. One of the most striking things about Bali is the rich variety of cloth and material that can be found in the many shops thourghoutthe island. The myriad of the batik clothes and sarongs on the market are mainly imported from Java. Runsuc Village and Firewalking

Canoe the Riri River

Relics of WW II
During WWII, Espiritu Santo was used as a naval harbour, military supply and support base for 100,000 allied troops. At the end of the war U.S. forces abandoned the island leaving behind a large amount of equipment that remains on the island today as fascinating relics.
Visit BP Wharf, built to support the navy's large vessels, and now home to yachts and other marine craft. Photo stops along the way include a lookout point with views over Segond Chanel, Tutuba and Aore Islands. Your guide will point out the position of the submarine nets and the sea mines that sunk the SS President Coolidge. You will also visit Euart's Memorial, named for Capt. Elwood Euart who sacrificed his life saving men on the SS President Coolidge after it struck two mines in the harbor and sank. Next stop is Million Dollar Point where thousands of tons of military equipment was abandoned in the ocean by the US military.

Honiara City Highlights
Embark on a guided tour that reveals many points of scenic, cultural, and historic interest about the Solomon Islands and their capital city, Honiara, on the northwestern coast of Guadalcanal.
From the pier, you’ll board an air-conditioned vehicle for your panoramic tour. Among the highlights you’ll see is the Parliament House, a fine example of the architectural designs of these islands. You’ll also see the U.S. War Memorial, built in 1992 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Guadalcanal. Amazing Grace Cocoa Farm and Gardens Tour
Situated on the black sands of Tenaru Beach, just outside of Honiara, the tour will give you the chance to witness the cocoa farming process up close.
The Tour begins with a tour of Amazing Grace’s Cocoa farm. There are a variety of Cocoa planted in the Solomons for the export market. The tour continues to see the fermenting and drying process. This process is specifically for exporting to the Boutique chocolate makers. The garden also has a good selection of local fruits and root crops that are eaten by the locals. The final tour stop is the preparation of the locally made chocolate manually pounded and cooked to perfection.
For chocolate makers, this black sandy soil may contribute to the intensely earthy profile of Grace’s beans, a distinct flavour in all her products. Guests can have a taste of the cocoa tea and chocolate.

Historical Alotau
Alotau is set within the bay of Milne bay (the bay in which the province derived its name) that stretches far and wide towards the west The bay itself is picturesque with villages and other new developments on either sides of the bay.
Our day starts by heading west to Turnbull War Memorial driving past beachside properties and local villages, a nice scenic drive along sealed road. Here you find remains of WW2 and commentary on WW2 will be given on the Battle of Milne bay. Leaving Turnbull drive further west to Ladava village to see the old slipway built by the Australians that was used during WW2.
Then head back along the same road to KB Mission for more WW2 history. A short drive back to town takes us to the Alotau War Memorial. Here you have the opportunity to shop. A good selection of arts and crafts from the Milne bay province will be on display.
Leaving Alotau War Memorial drive uphill to Top Town Lookout. From here you have an excellent view of the Milne bay, and the township beneath. Driving downhill passing old Anglican church and hospital takes us back to the pier.

Daduwe & Bou traditional villages
Milne bay Province located on the eastern tip of PNG consists of the mainland and approximately 600 islands is a tropical paradise with coconut palm lined beaches and villages scattered alongside offers an intriguing experience. Being the coastal province it does not only offer water activities but also offers touring the cultural villages and study the daily life’s of the villagers, who depend on subsistence farming, fishing and hunting.
Our day starts by heading east driving along the coastline passing many traditional villages with spectacular scenery to the very first cricket ground in PNG where the first cricket in the country was played. Heading further east we arrive at Daduwe for village study. Take a 10 minute hike off the road along the natural forest takes you to this beautifully set cultural village. Here witness the traditional cooking method, sago making (staple food), weaving mats, baskets and and other activities. Coconut drinks and other refreshments will be provided for those who wish to taste the local delicacy. This village was the site where a big feast was held by chiefs from all around Milne bay while on their Kula trade in the early days. Evidence of this are the remains of pieces of the clay pots used during that time. A few minutes walk takes us to a magic rock where new gem stones are popping out on the sides of this rock. Leaving Daduwe, we continue onto Bou village to witness the different cultural performance that resembles the different island and mainland cultures. This surely is colorful and exciting to witness. Here we witness children paddling in their canoes as they learn to become skilled for sea ferrying as they reach the age to sail the seas on trade missions or visiting neighbors, relatives at places where it requires sea travel.
On completion of the village visits we head back to town for our last stop at the Alotau War Memorial where we learn a little of the war in Milne bay and for souvenir shopping before heading back for the ship.

Culture, Liquiça and Maubara
Depart the port heading through historical buildings, monuments & religious places including the Statue of Integration, Dili’s Shopping Center, Presidential Palace, Timor Plaza, and the Statue of Past President NICOLAU LOBATO and west to Taci Tolu Peace Park (Taci Tolu literally means “three sea’s” in local language) the area is of national cultural significance being an important symbol of the struggle for Independence, and was declared a national park in 2000. Next, stop at the ruins of the Aipelo Military Command Post, which dates back to 18th Century and served as a prison run by the Portuguese until 1959.
Arriving in Liquiça which is the closest district to the west of Dili and indulge yourself before taking a 30 minutes easy walking tour of the historical town with its Portuguese influenced architecture visiting sites that have been identified as significant cultural and historical sites.
Next, travel to Dutch Fort of Maubara, this is a small Dutch colonial fortress located in Maubara. The rectangular fort, on whose wall two cannons still stand, is the most striking building in the town. It is located directly at the entrance to Maubara, on the well-developed thoroughfare, from where visitors could see the entire bay from the beach. The fort is owned by the state but is managed by the Maubara Association Mós Bele. Finish the tour and drive by passing Salt Production Community in Ulmera and photo stop opportunity, then continue drive back to port.

Coffee Plantation Tour
Depart to Railaco (Ermera) is one of the Municipalities of Timor Leste, located in the west-central part of the country through Tacitolu Chapel. Its capital is Gleno, which is located 30 km to the southwest of the national capital, Dili. The old city of Ermera, also known as Vila Ermera, lies 58 km from the capital along the same road. The winding road up from Dili to centrally located Ermera municipality is perfect for road touring and mountain biking – it offers expansive views out to Atauro Island. In general, Ermera Municipality is a very rugged country and sparsely populated.
It is the Coffee producing heart of Timor-Leste. With steep hills covered in coffee forest, looking towards towering Mt Ramelau in the south often all that can be seen of most towns is their colorful church spires poking out through the trees. Coffee is a shade loving plant which flourishes beneath the large canopied albezia trees. During the harvest season local people can be seen picking the ripe red coffee cherries that are then spread along the sides of the road and anywhere else flat they can find for drying in the hot sunshine.

This statue was designed by Mochamad Syailillah, who is usually called Bolil. The statue was officially unveiled by Suharto in 1996 as gift from the Indonesian government to the East Timorese people. The statue has been one of the main tourist sites in East Timor.
Then continue to Santa Cruz Cemetery and Resistance Museum, the Timor-Leste Museum of the Resistance opened its doors to the community ten years after the national became officially independent in 2002. Pink Beach Snorkeling

Komodo Trekking Tour
Enjoy a short trek on Komodo Island. Komodo is one of the 17,508 islands that make up the Republic of Indonesia. The highlight of this trip is seeing the Komodo Dragons. These relatives of the dinosaurs are the biggest reptiles on earth, reaching lengths of over 10 feet (3 meters) and weights of over 275 lbs. (125kg).
The earliest stories of a dragon existing in the region circulated widely and attracted considerable attention. No one visited the island to check the story until official interest was sparked in the early 1910's by stories from Dutch sailors based in Flores about a mysterious creature allegedly described as a "dragon" that spat fire. In 1915, the Dutch government placed the dragon on the list of protected species. More recently, Komodo was named to the controversial list of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in November 2011.
From the pier you will walk to the Tamarind Woods ranger's station. There you will have a short briefing. Then, keep an eye open for these dappled giants as you approach Banuggulung, a former Komodo feeding ground, in the company of an expert guide who will provide further insight into the life of these unique and fascinating creatures.

Magical Temples
Depart the pier for the drive to Tanah Lot, Bali's most photographed temple.
The black lava towers of this sacred, 16th-century temple stand on a rocky outcrop 656 feet (200 metres) offshore. Although crossing to the temple is only possible during low tide, you can photograph it from the opposite shore.
Following your visit, your journey continues with a drive toward the Southwest Coast, arriving at Puri Taman Sari, where you will be greeted by Bleganjur, a group of Balinese that will offer you a guided tour of the area where you will see different traditional Balinese activities before proceeding to your lunch area.

Bali Archaeological Relics
Traveling from Benoa harbor, enjoy a leisurely morning drive of two hours brings you directly to the village of Bedulu to visit Goa Gajah Monastery (Elephant Cave), is an ancient Hindu monastery built in the 11th century during the reign of one of famous Balinese King Udayana who ruled with his Javanese queen. This ancient monastery was used by both Buddhist and Hindu Monks as a place of retreat and meditation as well as the king as his descendants.
After touring Hindu monastery ground, then re-joining your motor coach and proceed to your delightful journey continues on to the next interesting place located nearby to visit Pejeng Museum of archaeology, locally called Museum Gedong Arca or the Museum of Archaeology, is home to a fantastic collection of sarchopagus, ancient Balinese relics and other artifacts from Indian and Chinese Kingdoms. The collection is housed in a traditional Balinese compound, with each pavilion hosting its own exhibition, completed by serene and well-manicured gardens.
Then, leaving Pejeng Museum of Archaeology behind and to the local restaurant located in Ubud where your lunch will be served. After lunch, as your tour draws to a close and before returning to the harbor of Benoa, your journey continues on to the village of Kemenuh to visit Setia Darma House of Masks & Puppets, is a place where various kinds of masks and puppets from different regions in Indonesia and around the world have been collected, stored and displayed for public since 2006. The collection includes more than 1300 masks and 5700 puppets. These masks and puppets were collected as a reference which can be used for various purposes. Located just a few miles from the heart of Ubud, the house of masks and puppets covers more than 1 hectare of land surrounded by traditional Balinese village and rice fields. The intent and purpose Setia Darma of Masks and Puppets is for preservation, education and entertainment.

Coffee and traditions
Starting off from the Pier of Benoa, a leisurely morning drive of one hour and 45-minutes brings you to the village of Kengetan/ Lod Tunduh to visit a Family Estate Coffee Plantations. Upon arrival, a guided walk through a shaded pathway to explore coffee plantations and other tropical spices as well as to observe up-close the Bali coffee making process. This offers a wonderful experience trip on your holiday in Bali where you can taste our local coffee, tea and Luwak coffee. The farmers are stepping into a new idea to create their coffee plantation where you may visit it with some variety of coffee for tasting. Despitefully, you'll have a good opportunity to try our local snacks and Balinese snake-skin fruits.
Re-joining your motor coach, and enjoy a short scenic drive toward the Balinese House Compound to visit a traditional Balinese House Compound, a complex with several house building separately set in one house area. The buildings are mostly designed by Balinese architectures taking daily social Balinese life concept pointing out the hospitality. It is very charming concept of house building consisted of several buildings with different purposes of activities. Mostly, the Balinese people house equipped by major house building includes Bali Daje (building set in the north), Bale Dangin (building set in the east), Bale Delod (building set in the south) and a kitchen set in the west.

As your tour draws to a close and before transferring back to the pier of Benoa, you’ll make your way to visit the Balinese Hindu temple located nearby to visit Pura Puseh or popularly called Batuan Temple, is a local Balinese Hindu temple looked after by the local residents of Batuan countryside. The temple is designed very beautiful with full of Balinese ornaments and the roof temple is made from the fibre of chromatic black palm tree. It strategically located beside of the main road from Denpasar to Ubud. For over a thousand years, Batuan has been a village of artists and craftsmen, old legends and mysterious tales. Batuan temple were founded in the year 944 Icaka (1020 A.D).

A journey through Balisian Arts
Explore the unique arts and crafts produced by the entire villages of Balinese craftsmen during this excursion to Tohpati, Celuk, and combined with a visit to Sudi Dance School.
Traveling from Benoa Pier for scenic, 45-minute drive with your Tour Guide by motor coach to Tohpati village. Upon arrival, a visit is made to a Batik factory. One of the most striking things about Bali is the rich variety of cloth and material that can be found in the many shops thourghoutthe island. The myriad of the batik clothes and sarongs on the market are mainly imported from Java. A large proportion of woven clothing or "ikat", is imported from the islands of Sumba and Flores; the beautiful "songket" fabrics worn by Balinese dancers are prime examples. Next, leave Tohpati village behind, re-board your motor coach and proceed for a visit to the gold and silver workshop at Celuk village. The production of high-quality gold and silver jewelry, including rings, bracelets, and amulets, worn for ceremonial use and special occasions has been a tradition in Bali for many years. Upon arrival, explore the jewelry-making process and browse the high-quality creations. Guests will have an opportunity to browse and purchase the product.
Then, reboard your motor coach and proceed to the local restaurant where your lunch will be served. After lunch and following your delightful visit, your journey continues toward the village of Blahbatuh, Gianyar to visit Sudi Dance School. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed by local children wearing their traditional dress. Then, you’ll be escorted to the lobby area where a refreshing drink awaits. And you’ll have a good opportunity to see firsthand how the local children learn traditional Balinese dances which is instructed by a master dancer. You may join to learn the Balinese dance and learn how to play the Balinese Gamelan (traditional music instrument). Your day will start in full immersion into Balinese spirituality. You will visit the second largest Balinese temple, Taman Ayun temple. Built in 1634, Pura Taman Ayun is surrounded by a moat. Its name means "Beautiful Garden". In popular belief, it protects Bali from evil spirits. The temple was restored in 1937. Its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, due to its importance and majestic architecture, dates from 2012.
You will then proceed to one of Bali’s most important landmarks, Pura Tanah Lot famed for its unique offshore setting. Tanah Lot Temple is perched on a rocky outcrop like a lighthouse surrounded by the sea. The temple was built by a high priest named Nirartha who fell in love with the site. It is part of Bali’s Six Temples honouring the Spirits of the sea.
