Throughout your journey, you will benefit from an excursion included per person per port of call, to choose from a selection offered by PONANT. During this cruise, set off to discover Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist compound, appreciate the surrealist landscape of Mount Bromo and explore the historical city of Malacca, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Leaving from the “island of gods”, Bali, Le Lapérouse will set sail to Java with a first port of call in Probolinggo, from where you will travel to Mount Bromo. Following a morning departure from the ship, once you reach the top of the crater, you will observe a lunar landscape. The journey will continue to Surabaya, nicknamed “the city of heroes” due to the important role it played in the country’s independence during the Indonesian National Revolution. On the north coast of Java, Semarang, a cosmopolitan city with Chinese, Indo-Arabic and European influences, stands before you. From there, you will set off to discover the incredible site of Borobudur. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this monumental Buddhist temple compound from the 8th and 9th centuries is an artistic marvel with over 500 Buddha statues.
On Bangka Island, a veritable verdant jewel off the east coast of Sumatra, you enjoy unique moments far from overcrowded beaches. Protected by immense granite rocks, Parai Beach, north-east of Bangka Island, is a tropical Eden.
Le Lapérouse will then reach the southern tip of Malaysia and make a port of call in Singapore, a multicultural city rich in contrasts whose Botanic Gardens are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You cross the Strait of Malacca, once a strategic hub of the spice and silk trade, and discover the colourful and multicultural island of Penang, known for its British colonial buildings, its Chinese shops and its mosques.
The ship heads to Langkawi Island, where you will discover scenery including picturesque rice fields and hills covered in rainforest. Your cruise continues along the coast of Thailand. In a sublime setting of emerald water, karstic cliffs, mangrove and white sand, Le Lapérouse also drops anchor off the coast of the uninhabited island of Ko Rok Nok, a paradise for swimming and relaxation.
Your trip will end in the province of Phang Nga, to the north of the island of Phuket. With vast stretches of lush old-growth forest, stunning waterfalls and sublime fine-sand beaches, it is one of the wildest regions in Thailand.

Nestled inside the massive Tengger caldera surrounded by a sea of sand, Mount Bromo is the epitome of desolate beauty. The volcanic complex dates back to about 820,000 years ago and consists of five overlapping stratovolcanoes, each truncated by a caldera. Lava domes, pyroclastic cones, and a maar occupy the flanks of the massif. The surreal lunar landscape has spurned countless legends and myths. Mt Bromo has particular significance for the Hindu Tengger people who believe that this was the site where a brave prince sacrificed his life for his family. This cultural oasis will show you the history of a fascinating ancient civilisation, the Baba Nyonya, the descendants of Chinese immigrants who married Malay women. In a Peranakan house in Chinatown, you will discover the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum, which reproduces the interior of a traditional elegant home from the 19th century. The Baba Nyonya were wealthy traders who liked to indulge their taste for sumptuous furniture made from teak and mother-of-pearl, rare jewels and silk brocade.

It is one of the wildest regions in Thailand, with vast stretches of lush old-growth forest, stunning waterfalls and sublime fine-sand beaches. Phang Nga is a province that is rich in traditions and natural beauty. Its bay offers a landscape of limestone karsts that seem to be balancing on the water. It is also home to the island nicknamed “James Bond island”, as an homage to the film Man with the Golden Gun, and to the island of Panyi, an unusual floating village with over 200 houses built on stilts and connected by wooden walkways.

Phuket, the largest island in Thailand, also known as the pearl of the Andaman, has majestic landscapes enhanced by a magnificent colour palette. Its lively, eponymous capital abounds with beautiful 19th-century houses, with embellished façades, and with markets where fruits and vegetables rival each other for flavours amidst street food stalls emanating appetising aromas. Although Phuket is a much appreciated tourist destination, it has still managed to preserve a few pieces of paradise off the beaten track. The charming shores, surrounded by hills with a thick covering of tropical vegetation, and the white sandy beaches make for an idyllic setting, while the underwater life provides a permanent show.
Fascinating Mount Bromo
Mount Bromo is an active volcano which is part of the Tengger massif in East Java, Indonesia. At 2,329 meters (7,641 ft) it is not the highest peak of the massif but is the most well-known. The volcano is part of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derives from the Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god. Mount Bromo is located in the middle of a vast plain called the "Sea of Sand", a protected nature reserve since 1919.
The tour to Mount Bromo starts with a one-hour drive to a local restaurant for a coffee break and comfort stop. Thereafter, you will board local 4-wheel drive vehicles for the 45-minute drive to Seruni viewing point to enjoy the panoramic views on Mount Bromo. Re-board your 4-wheel drive vehicle for the drive down to the sea of sand. Then take a 15-minute pony ride across the sea of sand to the base of Mt. Bromo. Finally, climb the 240 steps to the awesome crater which has a diameter of six miles (9.5 km) surrounded by a caldera that puffs white sulfur smoke. Mount Bromo stands in a sea of ash, volcanic sand and is surrounded by the towering cliff of the crater's edge. The immense size of the crater, the supernatural beauty of the scenery are really something very special indeed.
On the way back, you will be using the same means of transportation: pony, 4-wheel-drive and bus. A buffet lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

This morning you will depart the pier, and travel to the city square - the vibrant heart of Probolinggo.
On your way, you will have a first stop to 'Tri Dharma Sumbernaga' or Chinese Temple. Dating back some 142 years this temple has many unique ornaments on display and is still used today for religious ceremonies.
Next, board a pedicab and travel to the city's Red Church. Inside this eye-catching church is a bible which dates back to the 16th century. Next, you will re-board your pedicab and continue to the city museum. Here you will be greeted with a traditional dance, and have time to enjoy local snacks which are unique to this area. Inside the museum are various types of transportation, which have been used in past times, such as cikar, bicycles, locomotives, as well as aircraft, agricultural equipment, weapons and plenty of fascinating information about the area. Re-board your pedicab for the last time and travel to the Pasar Baru Market. Here you will have some time to watch locals buying and selling goods for their daily needs.
Finally, re-board your coach for a short transfer. Visit Batik Manggur, the oldest batik center in Probolinggo. As the founder of batik in Probolinggo, this center has its own unique batik design, the motif of which is based on local mangos and grapes which are plentiful in this region.

From the pier, board your local coach and reach Surabaya centre, the capital city of East Java and the second largest city in Indonesia.
Start your exploration of the town with a first stop at Pabean Market, a traditional market where you can see daily activities of locals. For over a century, the Pabean Market has been the centre of the spice trade in agrarian Indonesian province of East Java. Nowadays, the market offers various products needed in Surabayan daily life.
Then, drive to Virgin Mary Church passing through Jembatan Merah, a bridge from Dutch era. Discover the church that was built in 1899 with a neo-gothic architecture and decorated with beautiful stained-glass windows.
Continue to Majapahit Hotel, where you will take part of a short visit around the historical building before enjoying a refreshment.
Finally, reach the Surabaya Mayor House for a visit. It is the earlier Dutch Government building in Surabaya and it is now being used as an administrative centre.

From the port, leave for the Trowulan Museum, which you will reach after a 1½-hour drive.
This archaeological museum was built in order to house the artifacts and archaeological findings discovered around Trowulan and its vicinity. The ancient city ruins at Trowulan had been discovered by the 19th century. Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, governor of Java from 1811 until 1816 reported the existence of ruins of temples scattered about the country for many miles. Much of the region was blanketed with dense teak forest at that time, making detailed survey difficult. The urgent need to prevent looting and stealing from Trowulan archaeological site was one of the main reasons to build a simple archaeological storage building that became the old Trowulan Museum.
The new museum was officially opened in 1987 and provides an excellent introduction to Majapahit art and civilisation. Statues, pottery, ridge tiles and vases… terracotta has pride of place. The piggy banks are remarkable. Note the exceptional Hindu linga and statues, and numerous Chinese ceramics attesting to the exchanges between the Majapahit and the Middle Kingdom.
Next, visit Tikus Temple, which used to be used for ritual bathing and cleansing. Then on to Pendopo Agung Trowulan, an open air pavilion believed to be the main building of Majapahit Palace, the most interesting ruins here include the gateway of Bajang Ratu Temple an elegant red brick gate dating from the mid-14th century. The form of the structure is tall and slender, rising to a height of 16.5 metres and displaying intricate relief decoration, especially on the roof section.
On the return drive, you will pass some villages where you will be able to observe villager’s activities.

Departing by coach from Tanjung Emas harbour, you will journey into the dramatic landscape of central Java en route to the incredible UNESCO World Heritage site of Borobudur.
Upon arrival, you will be simply amazed at this incredible man-made marvel that is nothing short of being spectacular. The world's largest Buddhist monument, Borobudur was constructed between 778 and 856 and built with over 56,000 m³ (two million cubic feet) of stone.
This massive building project exhausted five generations of central Java's population, yet within little more than a century of its completion, was mysteriously abandoned. A subsequent eruption of neighbouring Mount Merapi completely covered the site in ash and it wasn't rediscovered until 1814. The painstaking excavation and restoration of Borobudur was accomplished at a cost of $25 million, but has given us today an unquestionably remarkable monument that stands as a symbol to an ancient and glorious heritage.
Following your morning exploration of the temple, you will be treated to a buffet lunch of Indonesian specialties.
Afterwards, re-board your coach for a relaxing and scenic drive back to the pier and your ship.

The tour includes approximately 1.5 km (1 mile) of walking and 100 steep steps to be negotiated. Therefore, it is not considered suitable for wheelchair guests or those with mobility concerns. From the pier, start the 1-hour scenic drive to Joglo Hill, passing highland, rice paddies and villages.
Once at Joglo Hill, enjoy a refreshment of Javanese coffee or tea served with traditional rice cakes, crackers and seasonal fruits in a traditional style resort, set in a tropical garden. The villas are from Joglo traditional Javanese building. You will also be invited to visit the villas owner's antique collections, collected from all over Java Island.
Your tour continues to Sam Po Kong (Gedung Batu), a unique temple built in honour of the famous Chinese Admiral Zheng He. Inside the temple, see the many outstanding stone carvings and sculptures as well as several shrines and tombs.
Before heading back to the harbour, you will have some free time to visit the Johar local market. Here you can observe the locals doing their daily trading for food, clothing and other daily goods. You can also find some souvenirs such as batik and handicrafts.

From the pier, embark your coach for the one-and-a-half-hour scenic drive to the historical city of Ambarawa, where you will visit an antique train museum. After a brief tour, continue by coach towards the highlands of Tlogo Agro passing through some beautiful tropical scenery.
On arrival, enjoy the fresh air of the Tlogo Agro Highland among the various tropical plants, such as coffee, rubber, mango, banana, avocado, clove, cocoa and guava. Take the opportunity to observe the coffee making process, where the beans finally become consumer-ready coffee powder using old day machinery. Departing by coach from Tanjung Emas harbour, you will journey into the dramatic landscape of central Java en route to the incredible UNESCO World Heritage site of Borobudur.
Upon arrival, you will be simply amazed at this incredible man-made marvel that is nothing short of being spectacular. The world's largest Buddhist monument, Borobudur was constructed between 778 and 856 and built with over 56,000 m³ (two million cubic feet) of stone.
This massive building project exhausted five generations of central Java's population, yet within little more than a century of its completion, was mysteriously abandoned. A subsequent eruption of neighbouring Mount Merapi completely covered the site in ash and it wasn't rediscovered until 1814. The painstaking excavation and restoration of Borobudur was accomplished at a cost of $25 million, but has given us today an unquestionably remarkable monument that stands as a symbol to an ancient and glorious heritage.

It is traditionally believed that the history of Malaysia began with founding Malacca in 1400. The state flourished and became a huge emporium attracting traders from all over Asia and even as far as Europe. Then a succession of colonial eras turned Malacca into the fascinating melting pot of cultures, which still exist today.
From the pier, embark your coach for the short drive to the Dutch Square and its majestic Stadhuys, built by the Dutch for the official residence of their Governors and administrative building.
Visit the Historical and Ethnography Museum, the first floor of the Museum is devoted to the history of Melaka which is also the early history of Malaysia. It covers the period from the founding of Malacca as the Malay Sultanate as early as 1400, to its existence as a colony under the Portuguese, Dutch, British and Japanese ruling, to the establishment of the independent Federation of Malaya in 1957. Among the other popular exhibits on display are the items used in traditional wedding ceremonies, kitchen utensils, farming utensils and musical instruments. Continue, ascending up St Paul Hill to visit St Paul Church where, St Francis Xavier was temporary buried before his body was transferred to Goa, India. A stop will be made at Porta de Santiago, part of the Portugese fort built after 1512.
From Porta de Santiago, depart by coach to the old part of Malacca and visit the oldest Chinese Temples in South East Asia also known as The Cheng Hoong Teng Temple.

The Malacca River crosses Malacca City to the Strait of Malacca. It separates the civic district, clustered at the foot of St Paul's Hill, from the residential and commercial districts of Heeren Street and Jonker Street. Many small boats sail past historic buildings, old warehouses, mangrove stands, churches and villages.
After your river cruise, re-board your coach and drive to a Malay village.
During your exploration of this village, visit Villa Sentosa, a traditional kampong house, to learn more about the Malay traditional life. Then, you will enjoy a local coffee/tea with traditional snacks.
Continue your journey to the Chitty village in Jalan Gajah Berang. It is home to a small community of Hindu Peranakans - descendants from Tamil traders who settled in Melaka over 500 years ago. Chitty (or Chetti) means 'trader' in Tamil. Since the 15th century, Southern India traders visit the shores of the Malay Peninsula to trade spices and other merchandise. They came for extended trips as bachelors or without their wives and they married local women in Melaka - Malays, Chinese, Javanese and Batak.

The area’s rich biodiversity encompasses more than 100 species of birds, endangered endemic plants and a multitude of fauna. As you approach the mid-point of the trail, get on The Langur Way Canopy Walk, a bridge which brings you up close to the canopy layer of the rainforest 30 metres-high from the forest floor. Spanning 230m/750ft in length, the canopy walk provides spectacular valley views of this ancient rainforest and a glimpse of the Andaman seas beyond.
From the Canopy Walk, make your way to the Curtis Crest Treetop Walk and stand atop the highest viewing platform in Penang. Walk towards the State Assembly building into the streets of harmony, one of the most interesting area of Penang. Day 2 - Jimbaran/Benoa
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel.
You'll hit the road and enjoy a leisurely morning drive before arriving at the village of Bukit Pecatu, located at the southern tip of the island. Here, perched atop a sheer cliff, you will discover the Uluwatu Temple. You will be captivated by its magnificent location 70 metres above the waves. It is one of the 6 key temples considered to be the "spiritual pillars" of Bali. The temple is surrounded by a small forest home to hundreds of monkeys. They are believed to be the loyal guardians of the temple.
Then, you will head to a local restaurant for an Indonesian lunch.
Your afternoon visit will lead you to the coastal village of Sanur to visit Pura Mertasari, one of the most beautiful Balinese Hindu temples. In the outer courtyard of this temple, you will see firsthand how local women make « Canang Sari », one of the daily offerings made by Balinese Hindus to thank God in praise and prayer. You will also have the opportunity to join them in the process.
You will then be transferred to the pier of Benoa to embark on board your ship.

Day 2 – Sanur/Batuan/Pejeng/Cempaga/Ubud

You will lead to the village of Batuan to explore its charming narrow streets lined with traditional houses and local art galleries. Known for its rich cultural heritage and traditional Balinese art, Batuan is renowned for its classic Balinese paintings which often depict mythological themes. In addition to its artistic heritage, it is recognized for its traditional layout and communal way of life. The village follows the traditional Balinese concept of "Tri Hita Karana," emphasizing the harmonious balance between humans, nature, and the divine.
You will then head to a community gallery of local painters to indulge in this creative and relaxing Balinese art.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will be driven to Kebo Edan temple. Located in the village of Pejeng, this ancient temple is interesting in many ways, its history is unusual, and Bali has yet to reveal all its mysteries.
You will then visit Kehen temple, one of Bali's oldest and most sacred temples. Built in the 11th century, it is dedicated to the fire god, Brahma Vayu. Kehen Temple offers visitors a unique cultural and spiritual experience, with its ancient history, impressive architecture and continuing role in Bali's religious life.

Day 3 – Ubud/Gianyar/Blayu/Ubud
After breakfast, you will leave for your third day of visit.
Your morning begins with a visit to the Gunung Kawi Monastery. It is known for its 11th century rock-cut funerary monuments, home to ten funerary monuments, known as candi, carved directly into the rock face. These candi are dedicated to Balinese royalty, notably King Udayana and his concubines. Each monument is around 7 metres high.
You will then discover the Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu temple, nestled in a picturesque setting surrounded by green hills and rice terraces. The temple is built around a sacred spring emerging from a rocky cave, used for rituals and religious ceremonies.
Before lunch, stop off at the magnificent terraces of Tegalalang, one of Bali's most iconic and picturesque sites. The terraced layout creates an impressive mosaic of terraced levels on the hillsides. The rice fields offer landscapes of exceptional beauty, with lush shades of green. The color and texture of the rice fields change with the seasons, creating an ever-changing visual spectacle.

After lunch, you will head off to the Ubud Monkey Forest to meet the long-tailed macaques, also known as crab monkeys. This lush woodland offers a dense, tropical natural setting of around 10 hectares. The forest is also considered a sacred and cultural site, with statues, sculptures and architectural elements integrated into the environment.
You will be driven to your hotel to enjoy some leisure time and refresh.
Before your dinner, you will first proceed to the village of Blayu to visit Puri Taman Sari, an ancient palace symbolizing the royal family. Upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted by the sounds of a traditional Balinese musical instrument called "Bleganjur." Following the welcome procession, you will be guided to the entrance where refreshments will await you.
Then, you will continue your visit at the heart of the magnificent Puri Taman Sari palace, constructed in the 17th century. This spectacular site of historical architecture served as the royal palace for the ancestors of the Mengwi dynasty, designed in the style of ancient Balinese compound houses. In this atmosphere, you will experience the essence of Balinese life.
You will then undergo a captivating and unforgettable moment by observing the locals engaging in traditional Balinese activities, mostly carried out by women at the heart of the Puri Taman Sari Palace.
Before departing from this historic and cultural gem, you will indulge in an Indonesian buffet dinner.

Day 4 - Ubud/Kemenuh/Benoa
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel.
You will first delight in the picturesque landscapes of the central part of the island during a 45-minute drive that will take you to the village of Kemenuh. There, you will be guided to the Setia Darma House of Masks & Puppets. Nestled in the heart of a traditional Balinese village surrounded by rice fields, it has housed since 2006 an extensive and impressive collection of masks and puppets from various regions of Indonesia and around the world, ensuring their preservation.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
Before reaching the port, you will undergo an immersive experience in an orchid garden. Bali is renowned for its beautiful tropical gardens and exotic orchids. Amidst various species of vibrant-colored and uniquely shaped orchids, you will marvel at this enchanting setting.

Mount Bromo is an active volcano which is part of the Tengger massif in East Java, Indonesia. At 2,329 meters (7,641 ft) it is not the highest peak of the massif but is the most well-known. The volcano is part of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The name of Bromo derives from the Javanese pronunciation of Brahma, the Hindu creator god. Mount Bromo is located in the middle of a vast plain called the "Sea of Sand", a protected nature reserve since 1919.
The tour to Mount Bromo starts with a one-hour drive to a local restaurant for a coffee break and comfort stop. Thereafter, you will board local 4-wheel drive vehicles for the 45-minute drive to Seruni viewing point to enjoy the panoramic views on Mount Bromo. Re-board your 4-wheel drive vehicle for the drive down to the sea of sand. Then take a 15-minute pony ride across the sea of sand to the base of Mt. Bromo. Finally, climb the 240 steps to the awesome crater which has a diameter of six miles (9.5 km) surrounded by a caldera that puffs white sulfur smoke. Mount Bromo stands in a sea of ash, volcanic sand and is surrounded by the towering cliff of the crater's edge. The immense size of the crater, the supernatural beauty of the scenery are really something very special indeed.

This morning you will depart the pier, and travel to the city square - the vibrant heart of Probolinggo.
On your way, you will have a first stop to 'Tri Dharma Sumbernaga' or Chinese Temple. Dating back some 142 years this temple has many unique ornaments on display and is still used today for religious ceremonies.
Next, board a pedicab and travel to the city's Red Church. Inside this eye-catching church is a bible which dates back to the 16th century. Next, you will re-board your pedicab and continue to the city museum. Here you will be greeted with a traditional dance, and have time to enjoy local snacks which are unique to this area. Inside the museum are various types of transportation, which have been used in past times, such as cikar, bicycles, locomotives, as well as aircraft, agricultural equipment, weapons and plenty of fascinating information about the area. From the pier, board your local coach and reach Surabaya centre, the capital city of East Java and the second largest city in Indonesia.
Start your exploration of the town with a first stop at Pabean Market, a traditional market where you can see daily activities of locals. For over a century, the Pabean Market has been the centre of the spice trade in agrarian Indonesian province of East Java. Nowadays, the market offers various products needed in Surabayan daily life.
Then, drive to Virgin Mary Church passing through Jembatan Merah, a bridge from Dutch era. Discover the church that was built in 1899 with a neo-gothic architecture and decorated with beautiful stained-glass windows.
Continue to Majapahit Hotel, where you will take part of a short visit around the historical building before enjoying a refreshment.

From the port, leave for the Trowulan Museum, which you will reach after a 1½-hour drive.
This archaeological museum was built in order to house the artifacts and archaeological findings discovered around Trowulan and its vicinity. The ancient city ruins at Trowulan had been discovered by the 19th century. Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, governor of Java from 1811 until 1816 reported the existence of ruins of temples scattered about the country for many miles. Much of the region was blanketed with dense teak forest at that time, making detailed survey difficult. The urgent need to prevent looting and stealing from Trowulan archaeological site was one of the main reasons to build a simple archaeological storage building that became the old Trowulan Museum.
The new museum was officially opened in 1987 and provides an excellent introduction to Majapahit art and civilisation. Statues, pottery, ridge tiles and vases… terracotta has pride of place. The piggy banks are remarkable. Note the exceptional Hindu linga and statues, and numerous Chinese ceramics attesting to the exchanges between the Majapahit and the Middle Kingdom.
Next, visit Tikus Temple, which used to be used for ritual bathing and cleansing. Then on to Pendopo Agung Trowulan, an open air pavilion believed to be the main building of Majapahit Palace, the most interesting ruins here include the gateway of Bajang Ratu Temple an elegant red brick gate dating from the mid-14th century. The form of the structure is tall and slender, rising to a height of 16.5 metres and displaying intricate relief decoration, especially on the roof section.
On the return drive, you will pass some villages where you will be able to observe villager’s activities.

Departing by coach from Tanjung Emas harbour, you will journey into the dramatic landscape of central Java en route to the incredible UNESCO World Heritage site of Borobudur.
Upon arrival, you will be simply amazed at this incredible man-made marvel that is nothing short of being spectacular. The world's largest Buddhist monument, Borobudur was constructed between 778 and 856 and built with over 56,000 m³ (two million cubic feet) of stone.
This massive building project exhausted five generations of central Java's population, yet within little more than a century of its completion, was mysteriously abandoned. A subsequent eruption of neighbouring Mount Merapi completely covered the site in ash and it wasn't rediscovered until 1814. The painstaking excavation and restoration of Borobudur was accomplished at a cost of $25 million, but has given us today an unquestionably remarkable monument that stands as a symbol to an ancient and glorious heritage.

It covers the period from the founding of Malacca as the Malay Sultanate as early as 1400, to its existence as a colony under the Portuguese, Dutch, British and Japanese ruling, to the establishment of the independent Federation of Malaya in 1957. The Malacca River crosses Malacca City to the Strait of Malacca. It separates the civic district, clustered at the foot of St Paul's Hill, from the residential and commercial districts of Heeren Street and Jonker Street. Many small boats sail past historic buildings, old warehouses, mangrove stands, churches and villages.
After your river cruise, re-board your coach and drive to a Malay village.

Constructed in 1923, this popular resort rail line leads you past flower farms and colonial bungalows. With your guide, head out on foot along a one-mile (1.8 km) nature trail through The Habitat.
The area’s rich biodiversity encompasses more than 100 species of birds, endangered endemic plants and a multitude of fauna. As you approach the mid-point of the trail, get on The Langur Way Canopy Walk, a bridge which brings you up close to the canopy layer of the rainforest 30 metres-high from the forest floor. Spanning 230m/750ft in length, the canopy walk provides spectacular valley views of this ancient rainforest and a glimpse of the Andaman seas beyond.
From the Canopy Walk, make your way to the Curtis Crest Treetop Walk and stand atop the highest viewing platform in Penang. The ground below the Curtis Crest Treetop Walk was once used as military parade grounds by the East India Company and was explored by famed botanist Charles Curtis, first superintendent of Penang Botanic Gardens for experimental planting.

Walk towards the State Assembly building into the streets of harmony, one of the most interesting area of Penang. It is used in traditional medicine for healing and the treatment of ailments. Discover the process as 'gamat' is prepared with a diverse mixture of herbs and roots. Before returning to the pier, visit the Wat Wanaram Buddhist Temple, revered for its serenity, peace and architecture.

Day 1 - Phuket
After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port by our local representative.
A 30-minute transfer will take you to the Wat Chalong temple, where you will discover Thailand's main religion, Buddhism.
Wat Chalong is a beautifully adorned temple complex that reflects the rich spiritual and architectural heritage of Thailand. It stands as a testament to the deep – rooted Buddhist traditions of the region. The temple is characterized by its stunning pagodas, intricate artwork, and tranquil surroundings.
Upon arrival at the temple, the path will lead you to the local stalls where people find the Sung Kha Tan set: the essential items that Buddhists offer to the monks for blessings. A set will be given to you before meeting with a local monk to learn the Thai culture of making offerings to the monks. You must pour water onto the ground or under the big tree to spread the merit to relatives who have passed away.
You will also have the opportunity to talk with the monk before getting around the magnificent temple complex while learning more about the history of Wat Chalong.
Then, you will be taken to a local restaurant where lunch will be served.
In the late afternoon, you will be driven to the hotel InterContinental Phuket Resort 5* for checking in.
Enjoy some free time to refresh before dinner.

Day 2 - Phuket
After breakfast and check-out, time at leisure depending on your flight schedule.
