Our ships are designed to welcome families with children from the age of one year (up to a maximum of five children aged between 1 and 6 years old).
On Expedition cruises, children aged 6 and over are welcome (aged 8 and over on board Le Commandant Charcot).
The Kid Explorers club is available across our entire fleet, on selected sailings, except the m/s Paul Gauguin and the sailing ship Le Ponant. On board Paul Gauguin, the Moana Explorer programme– in partnership with the Te Mana o Te Moana foundation, which works to protect Polynesian marine life – offers activities designed to introduce guests to Polynesian culture.
The Kid Explorers club is for children aged 4 to 13 on the Sisterships and PONANT EXPLORERS and for children aged 8 to 13 on board Le Commandant Charcot.
The Moana Explorer programme on board the m/s Paul Gauguin is open to children aged 6 to 15.
To best meet your needs, the opening hours are tailored to your cruise itinerary. For further information, please check with the leaders’ team in advance. The programme of entertainment and activities is shared each day in the logbook provided in your stateroom.
The children’s club leaders will offer your children the opportunity to take part in hands-on workshops, board games, excursions, swimming sessions, walks, treasure hunts, etc.
In Polynesia, the Moana Explorer programme focuses particularly on raising children’s awareness of the environment and Polynesian culture.
Each day, the programme is tailored to the number of children or teenagers enrolled and their ages, as well as the weather conditions.
The Kid Explorers club can accommodate up to 24 children (1 leader for every 8 children).
The children’s club is available on selected cruises in Polynesia, aboard the m/s Paul Gauguin, and in the Mediterranean (in summer) on the PONANT EXPLORATIONS fleet.
Cruises offering the Kid Explorers and Moana Explorer programmes are particularly suitable for families. However, all PONANT EXPLORATIONS cruises can provide inspiration for family getaways.
Among the experiences on offer, you could travel as a family and try your hand at spotting polar bears in Spitsbergen or whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Canada, dive in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean in winter, or explore Japan’s finest coastlines, to name just a few.
